Family roots run deep for 100 years with Maria's grandmother Jessie Atilano operating her own salon in LaSalle IL, Jessie's Beauty Salon for decades as the "Tinting Queen Specialist". Maria, now carrying on her family's ladies legacy, provides Licensed, degree obtained, medical massage & trauma therapy services. In practice for 20 years, Maria has obtained many certifications from national & international therapy associations along award winning recognition top performer for national therapy clinics. Since 2016 Maria holds the credential of Vodder Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist. In this oldest truest medically recognized therapy , Maria has been able to assist those experiencing lymphedema issues from oncology treatments, & surgical procedures as well as wellness Lymphatic sessions. Certified by Claire Marie Miller , Nationally Recognized Therapy educator for 30 plus years, Maria has offered massage therapy for Fertility, Pregnancy, Labor, Postpartum, & Infants since 2018. Upledger Institute International CranioSacral 1 & 2 have equipped Maria, since 2017 with the Osteopathic based therapy skill set to assist those with migraines, Alzhimers management, nervous system conditions & increase mobility & cognitive functioning with this very light, gentle & remained clothed therapy for all. CranioSacral Therapy specifically aided in Maria's father's stroke recovery improving mind & body, her father made a full recovery as Mayo Clinic physicians declared him a walking miracle. Trauma Therapy & Stress Management certifications Maria offers are Rhythm2Recovery, an evidence based therapeutic drumming technique paired with therapeutic dialog between practioner & client, creates safe space for everyone to express, decompress, process & release all that one may be going through. SomatoEmotional Release Upledger Institute International is the harmonious fusion of CranioSacral techniques paired with therapeutic dialog to assist in releasing specific stressful/traumatic/negative experiences empowering the client to be on the otherside of the stress as it becomes just an experience leaving the undesirable feelings lifted. Since 2008 Maria has been a strong asset in assisting clients from all walks of life with their Orthopedic conditions & concerns. Utilizing her tool box of protocols in the relief of & management of but not limited to: carpal tunnel, frozen shoulder, sciatic, plantar conditions and post-surgical therapy recovery.
